Footprints

i was reading this book written by Margaret Fishback Powers since March i think. This devotional book for women really empowers me. Its entiled Footprints for Women. During the Most difficult times of my life, i browse and read from it. it has a lot of encouraging bible verse that reminds me God's promises and God's faithfulness.  One night when i first saw the book (oh by the way, this  book was given to my mom by Ptr. ROn and Tita Racqs.) I was wondering ,what is the book all about, since the title was foot prints for women. I saw many many times of the poem footprints in the sand. when i open the book ( i was about to sleep that time), i slowly read the poem  footprints and the tears are running from my cheeks. I feel that the LORD is speaking to me and He wants me to continue reading. As i read pages by pages, I can clearly see myself in the book. i mean i can relate to it. I pause for a while and say to myself, "Ako yung tinutikoy ng Book na to". There are examples  from the book that i can really relate. so i kept on reading. There are also introductions like "God is with us during the most difficult times", "God is always with us". From the Poem footprints in the sand. Every lines of the book has an introduction and has alot of bible verses whatever situations you are, I'm really blessed by the book and i recommend you to read it.

Here is the Poem written by Margaret Fishback Powers, 1964

Footprints
Also Known As "I Had a Dream"
One night I dreamed a dream.
I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.
When the last scene of my life shot before me I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life. This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma.
"Lord, You told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why, when I need You most, You leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."
